During ICML 2019 in Lugano, Switzerland, the Lymphoma Hub were pleased to speak to Petra Langerbeins from University of Cologne, Cologne, DE, about the CLL12 study. We asked: should we treat asymptomatic, treatment naïve patients with ibrutinib?

Petra Langerbeins explains how in the CLL 12 trial, non-chemo agent, ibrutinib was used, and showed a significant improvement in progression-free survival and event-free survival, and also and increased time to next CLL therapy. She mentions how the trial also shows a very good toxicity profile - something that other trials have failed to show.
