The Lymphoma Hub is published by Scientific Education Support Ltd (SES) and is committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what information we hold about you. We promise to respect any personal data you share with us and keep it safe.

This Privacy Policy sets out the data processing practices of the Lymphoma Hub; all data that we hold will be used, and held, in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

With open access and science-driven global initiatives, SES provides unbiased disease education through multichannel communications and educational websites such as the Lymphoma Hub. Our purpose is to provide credible education in lymphoma & CLL where there is an unmet medical need. We do this by providing the latest medical information, live congress coverage, trial updates, drug approvals, case studies as well as expert opinions.

When we collect personal information about you

We will obtain personal information about you when you sign up for the Lymphoma Hub newsletter, participate in a website survey, or create a My Lymphoma Hub account.

This information is collected to allow us to provide you with the most relevant content & to personalise your experience while using the Lymphoma Hub. This includes things like:

  • Sending you monthly newsletters & keeping you up to date about website site content
  • Collecting responses to occasional surveys or polls found on the website
  • Personalising parts of the Lymphoma Hub to reflect your interests or store your favourite content

How we collect information

We collect some infomation about you when you supply this directly by filling out registration or newsletter sign-up forms. This will include a name, email address, occupation & country of practice.

We also collect information about your preferences and website activity when you add bookmarks or areas of interest to your My Lymphoma Hub dashboard. This will include article names or categories of content you have stored within your profile.

Depending on your personal cookie settings, Lymphoma Hub can also collect information on how you use the website. Using Google Analytics, we capture geographic location, the date and time of visits, pages viewed, and time spent on each page, including the website visited before and after our own site. How we use your personal information

Scientific Education Support uses captured data to create anonymised quarterly reports, for internal teams, external sponsors, and partners to support open-access funding for our website.

We collect this anonymised data to share key performance metrics across our websites, including popular content and categories, our geographic reach including the languages used to read our content.

For registered users, we also collect anonymised information based on personal My Lymphoma Hub account activity. This may include statistics for selected areas of interest, popular bookmarked content, or aggregated statistics by profession or country of practice.

We do not share any identifying personal information with third parties, supporters, or affiliated organiations. Wherever possible we use aggregated, anonymous data that does not identify individual users on our website.

Marketing

We will never use personal data you have provided for marketing purposes unless consent is given by you via opt-in in advance, nor will your personal information be passed to any third parties.

How long do we keep your data?

We will keep your personal data as long as is required to send you the information you have requested.

How to manage communication preferences and personal data held by us

All our newsletter emails have a clear 'unsubscribe' link which will remove you from future email communications and delete any personal information held in our database.

If you have previously registered and would like to close your user account and delete any personal information stored, please contact our team using the email address found on the 'Account Settings' page. We will close the account and remove personal information held within 1 month of the initial request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Update or amend the information we hold about you

  • Ask us to remove your personal information from our records
  • Restrict the processing of your personal data
