ASH 2020: Advances and challenges in the treatment of CLL
During the 62nd American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting and Exposition, the Lymphoma Hub spoke to Nicole Lamanna, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York, US. We asked, How should we manage toxicities associated with BTK inhibitors in chronic lymphocytic leukemia?
Some common BTK inhibitors toxicities include cardiac arrhythmias, fatigue, arthralgia, hypertension, and infection. In this video, Lamanna discusses strategies to manage these side effects in an effort to increase patient compliance with these efficacious drugs. She also outlines ongoing clinical trials evaluating the safety of the second generation of BTK inhibitors.
